IMPULSE PURCHASE

Broadway calls to me. Since I was a little girl fascinated with Annie (what little girl isn't) Since Ursula S. did her book report on Phantom of the Opera my junior year of HS and played music from the broadway production. Since working in a music store and discovered Les Mis, Jekyll and Hyde and so many others. And since my freshman year of college when pianos in the great room and so many talented pianists and singers who enjoyed sing alongs allowed me to put in my puny voice. (Thanks Tyler, Chris, Kristie). For years I have collected songs from so many different productions and find so few that share my love. Thankfully, I have raised a righteous posterity who understand the value of a broadway musical. Amy and Maggie are Afficiandos. Anyway. Wicked is coming to Salt Lake. Hold your ponies. Unless you pay exhorbitant rates to purchase season tickets to Broadway Across America--- You cannot purchase tickets to see this great show. Cry! Cry! Curse! Curse!
But wait:
Craigslist. I only have to say the word and you know what I mean. I found two tickets in Salt Lake to see Wicked for $200 each. I told Rob and asked if I could buy them and, True to form he said--"If we're going to pay that much shouldn't we go somewhere fun." So I found tickets to Wicked in San Francisco, flights and a 4.5-star hotel for about $600-- Okay, maybe a little more with taxes, etc. But you get the picture. A little bit more money, lot more fun. Happy Happy Joy Joy!!!!!! The only snag in this really cool picture is that when I go I will be in week 29 of this pregnancy. waddle! waddle! Oh Well.!

Yay! You get to see Wicked! You will LOVE it. I've seen it 3 times and have been spellbound at each performance. Have a wonderful time in SF, despite the waddle, waddle! Too bad you won't be a few hundred miles south--we could catch up in person! But I'll be driving up to UT in July for a roommate reunion and I'll definitely stop and see you and the family. :-)
